Betty Parker, CPLP, President/Leadership Consultant, Sharper Development Solutions, Inc.

This session will address how to increase the attention and interest level of participants through story-telling. Knowing when and how to position a story to have the greatest impact on driving a point home is essential to effective training. Stories can introduce a topic, support critical teaching points, persuade clients, empower listeners, and influence outcomes. Participants will learn easy steps to building concise and impactful stories. The session is interactive and fun. Albeit voluntary, audience participation is a must.

Business owner, professional speaker, author, and veteran sales professional, Betty Parker provides years of experience and success in leadership.  At Sharper Development Solutions, Inc., her primary focus is on turning managers into leaders through training and coaching.  With a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, her specialty is in communications.  Her portfolio of training topics includes conflict management, diversity management, customer service, employee engagement, teamwork, coaching and mentoring, facilitation and presentation skills.  Betty has been a sales professional for nearly 25 years and began her training experience in 1998 with Serono Inc., a Swiss biotech company.
