Three 20 Min. Sessions On:

Emotional Intelligence:   Pam Bauer

This session will enable each of you to grow in your abilities to more confidently and competently work with others throughout your organization. This will be an informative interactive skill-building experience, focusing on the components of Emotional Intelligence:

  • Self-Awareness
  • Social Awareness
  • Self Management
  • Relationship Management

Do Games Teach?: Dawn Adams Miller

It’s all the rage and the topic of considerable controversy. Experts like Karl Kapp and Ruth Clark have weighed in on opposite sides of this question.  Now it’s time to make up your own mind and decide if games teach.

In this workshop you will hear about the educational benefits of games and gamification, some of the research that quantifies the positive effects of games and gamification, and some examples of games and gamification that have been successfully used in corporate settings.

The Art of Networking: Frank Powell

A robust professional network is critical to job success. The most common mistake is that many people neglect this activity until they need a job (and a great network!).

Maintaining your network requires discipline and planning.

Learning to “work the room” at a professional organization event will help participants build their networks and maximize the benefits of membership.

Performance Analysis in Training: John Heun

When a client comes to you with a training need, what tools and resources do you have at your disposal to determine if training alone will close the performance gap the training request is expected to address?

In this session, I will share with you how I incorporated performance analysis as a front-end engagement and intake tool, and embedded in an audience analysis to discover other factors that could impact the success of the proposed training initiative.
