How often do you take time for your own professional development? Schedules are busy so planning your own development is often a challenge. ATD Charlotte is launching a Lunch & Learn series to help you find time for development.

In this introduction to the Lunch & Learn series, you’ll get an overview of the ATD Capability Model and Self-Determined Professional Development Cycle (SDPDC©). Join us as we brainstorm next steps forward using the models as a guide. Bring your questions and your suggestions, give and receive peer support, and enjoy a casual lunchtime atmosphere.

Kelly D. Smith

Kelly has provided training and development opportunities for coworkers and external clients throughout her careers in forensic science, K12 and higher education. Kelly is currently a Senior Research Analyst with Central Piedmont Community College, where she collaborates with the Parr Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence to develop data literacy training for faculty and staff. She earned a doctorate in Adult and Community College Education from North Carolina State University and a graduate certificate in Gender, Leadership, and Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Kelly has been an active member of ATD Charlotte since 2016.
