Somatics in Learning

Presented by:  Nina Harrison

Everyone knows that “experiential learning” drives better results than boring classroom lectures. But what about somatic learning?

“Somatics”, which means “of the body”, is a new concept for many, and this session will shed light on the use of somatic exercises in learning situations. Applicable to everything from instructional design, and instructor led training to coaching, somatic practices provide an opening for deep learning by engaging multiple types of learning in one experience – the body, the mind and emotions.

If your body can tell you that you are hungry and tired, it can also tell you how to lead better, overcome imposter syndrome, set goals, and unlimited other valuable lesson. Did you know that eating chocolate can help you learn patience? Join us for this interactive session to find out how! (Chocolate included!)
