Volunteer Opportunity - Second Harvest Food Bank

What: We will be rolling up our sleeves as we sort through large quantities of donated food and household products that are later distributed to other local food banks.

When: Saturday June 17th 9:00-noon (it is suggested that you arrive 10 minutes early)

Where: Second Harvest Food Bank, 500 Spratt Street #B Charlotte, NC 28206

Attire: Past volunteers are encouraged to wear their ATD Volunteer t-shirt. Additional t-shirts will be provided for new volunteers.

SHFBM believes volunteers are vital to the success of the food bank and to our community in need. If you are looking for a way to give back to our community, meet new people, educate yourself about hunger awareness, or participate in a project that feeds hungry children, seniors, families and pets, then you have found the right place!

SHFBM Is the Largest Hunger Fighting Agency.  Last year we distributed over 50 million pounds of food and household items to individuals in need through our 700+ partner agencies in 14 counties in NC and 5 counties in SC. Last year, over 40,000 volunteers donated 162,000 hours and there is still more work to be done!
