Edward Muzio

The leadership in your company or client moves fast and demands results. Sure, you may see problems they don’t notice and solutions they haven’t considered, but if you can’t talk in terms of useful output, you’re sunk – even though you’re likely right about what they need.

For decades, professionals like us have bemoaned the inaccessibility of seats at the proverbial table. Fixing this by getting leaders to more clearly perceive and appreciate the value you bring is, well, one sided at best; accusing customers of any kind of lacking enlightenment and not listening, and attempting to address their deficiency through presentation and repetition, rarely works.

To Own Your Seat™ is to start with your leaders’ needs, to feel competent giving advice at every level, and to practice your profession proudly and with maximum impact.

Join us! We’ll experiment with a framework that underpins and adds to your expertise in human performance and people systems – one you can use to discuss your leaders’ real problems, like execution, accountability, and flexibility. Use it, and you’ll win leadership over not by pushing ideology, but by proposing fixes to the problems keeping them up at night. And that’s how you get a seat that’s yours to keep.
