ATD Member Newsletter

Member Spotlight

For this newsletter, we are highlighting two our new Board members, Christine and Brian Kostic!

Originally from western Pennsylvania, Christine is a graduate of the University of
Pittsburgh. In 1993, she started her retail career at Walmart as an assistant manager,
and worked her way up through various positions, such as regional trainer and store manager. In 2005, she accepted a position as the Director of Training & Development for the Sam’s Club US Division where she managed a field training operation for over 600 Clubs and 110,000 associates.

In 2010, she found her way home to Pittsburgh and a regional supermarket chain called Giant Eagle. For the next eight years, she worked as a store manager in nine different grocery stores all over Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. In October 2015, she met the love of her life, Brian. In October 2018, they moved to Mooresville where she now works as a Sr. Program Leader for Leadership and High Potential Development at the Lowe’s corporate office.

Christine and Brian got married on May 10, 2019, and are both happy and excited to join Charlotte ATD where they both serve on the board.

Brian has spent the past 20 years as an entrepreneur, trainer, project manager, and retail store manager, and now works in real estate. Throughout his career, he helped develop and train all levels of management and employees in job preparation, food safety, customer service, and Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP) certification. As a project manager, he managed safe kitchen equipment installations for large companies such as McDonalds, Wendy’s, Giant Eagle, and Kroger’s. He currently is a Full Real Estate Broker for Allen Tate and has been a real estate investor for almost two decades. Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. He has just moved to Mooresville from Pittsburgh in December of 2018 with his wife, Christine, who is Co-VP of Programs, and our 4 cats. You can always find Brian working on his home, since he is a big DIYer and enjoys cooking, gardening, and murder mystery theatre.
