Updated October, 2021

Following the guidance of global health experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) and U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on preventing the spread of the coronavirus, we encourage all members to familiarize themselves with the protection methods and symptoms of COVID-19, wash their hands frequently, and observe stay-at-home orders issued by local, state, and federal governments.

COVID-19 has impacted millions of Americans. To ease the financial burden of membership during this difficult time, ATD - Charlotte has extended the memberships of all current members by one month, effective April 10, 2020. The Board of Directors believes that now, more than ever, it is important for you to have access to your own professional learning opportunities to support changing learning and working environments. If you have specific questions or concerns about your membership in ATD - Charlotte, to include renewal or changes in employment, please contact us.

As life changes and jobs shift, it is important to make sure your contact information is up-to-date. Update your contact information on our website or in the Wild Apricot mobile app to ensure that you are receiving all chapter news, job bank postings, and meeting updates.

To keep our members safe and slow the spread of COVID-19, ATD - Charlotte moved the March and April 2020 chapter meetings to an online format. You can still register for events on our website; all registrants will receive information for joining into the virtual meeting on the week of the meeting. We will continue to monitor recommendations from health experts and government officials and notify members about the format of the May meeting as the event date draws closer.

Beginning with our April meeting, join ATD - Charlotte for networking & discussion topics from 5:45 - 6:15pm. These networking sessions will be held directly before the monthly meeting. Come to hear about job opportunities and participate in discussions about how we are coping with remote work and limited staffing.

Family Catering has been a valued partner of ATD - Charlotte for over a decade. Their flexibility, high quality of service, and fan-favorite meals have become a cornerstone of our monthly meeting experience. To show our appreciation in this difficult time, ATD - Charlotte will donate a portion of our catering budget back to Family Catering. We sincerely hope to continue our partnership after this crisis has passed.

If your organization would like to support ATD - Charlotte in this difficult time, sponsorship opportunities are currently available.
